Good to know

Deleted means deletedUnlike a white box, deleting text removes the words from the file, so nobody can copy them back out. Use this for names, numbers or old details you must not share.
Moved text stays editableAfter you move a line you can click it again to change it, move it again or delete it.
Undo is always thereEvery delete and move can be reversed with Undo, step by step.
Check the resultOpen the downloaded PDF and try to select the area you cleaned to confirm the words are gone.

Questions people ask

Is deleting text the same as redacting?

It removes the selected text objects from the page, which is what matters for most people. For legal redaction of court or medical records, check your organisation's rules and review the final file.

Can I move text to another page?

Not yet. Text moves within its page. You can delete it and add it on the other page with the Text tool.

Why does some moved text come out as a picture?

A few PDFs, like some government portal receipts, do not allow their text to be rewritten. The editor then moves an exact picture of the text so the page still looks right.
