About PDF Editor Hub
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Who runs it
PDF Editor Hub is an independent project. It is not owned by a software company, and it is not part of or linked to any government agency. It is paid for by its owner and has no investors and no advertising. You can reach the people behind it through the contact page.
What it does
It is a PDF editor that works in your web browser. You can change the original text of a PDF, fill in forms, add text, ticks, dates, images and highlights, sign, merge PDFs, rotate or delete pages, and add or remove a password. It works on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android with nothing to install.
We also write guides to common official forms, such as US tax and immigration forms, UK HMRC and court forms, and French, German and Italian forms. Each guide says who issues the form, which version is current, and how to fill it in line by line, with links to the issuing body's own page and PDF. Where the issuing body's terms let us share a copy of the blank PDF, we host one so it opens in the editor with one click. Where they do not, we link to the official PDF and you open your saved copy here.
Your files stay on your device
When you open a PDF, your browser reads, edits and saves it on your own computer or phone. The file is not sent to our server, and we never see your documents, what you type, your signatures or your passwords. Only the editor itself, fonts and any language packs you choose are downloaded to you. The privacy page lists the services that see your connection, such as Cloudflare and Google Analytics, and what they receive.
Free, with no account
Editing, filling, signing, protecting and downloading are free. There is no signup, no card, no trial and no watermark on your file.
How it is built
The editor uses open-source libraries with permissive licences: pdf.js to show pages, pdf-lib and fontkit to write the PDF, PDFium to edit original text, and qpdf to open protected files. Fonts come from free font families such as Noto.
Not advice, not an official site
The form guides are general information, not legal or tax advice. Always check the current version on the official website before you send a form.
